INNER VOICES OF CONSCIENCE
We can do it by preserving our good judgement, by hearing all our inner voices of conscience - not only the 'automatic' ones - and also carefully evaluating them as to their validity.
Is there also a voice which only speaks when we in all honesty ask a direct question?
For example,
"What can I learn from this situation?"
"What could I do better in the future if I found myself in a similar situation?"
"Allow myself to be more open?"
"Listen better, say 'no' more firmly, be more decisive?"
If I keep asking myself these kinds of questions I will receive guidance, especially if I take them into my sleep at night when wrestling with a difficult situation. Guidance might not necessarily come the next morning but rather sometime during the day when I do not expect it.
This voice is different from [other] voices in that it prompts us and yet leaves us completely free.
